ABOUT ROBBIE MARTIN

Known by his pseudonym Fluorescent Grey, he is a prankster and musician who gained notoriety for his electronic music and political conspiracy coverage. He has staged a number of politically and socially-charged hoaxes such as a fake terrorist beheading during the Iraq war and the release of a false Autechre album composed of his own work.

After a psychedelic drug binge in 2001, his mental health deteriorated and he began forming fantastical conspiracy theories and underwent a musical dry spell. However, after spending time in a psychiatric facility, he eventually returned to music production.

He runs a political conspiracy blog called A Very Heavy Agenda and created a documentary film and score for the film all of the same name. He also cohosts the political podcast Media Roots Radio with Abby Martin.

He is a native of Oakland, California.

Both he and Thom Russo gained fame as music producers.
