ABOUT ROBERT LEWIS TAYLOR
A twentieth-century American author, he is best known for his novel, The Travels of Jaimie McPheeters. The work is set during the California Gold Rush and focuses on a fourteen-year-old boy and his father.
Early in his career, he wrote for The New Yorker magazine.
He won the 1959 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.
He was born in Illinois. He married Judith Martin in 1945.
He wrote a biography of Winston Churchill .
