ABOUT ROBERT DUNCAN

Music critic and entrepreneur who rose to prominence as a writer and managing editor for Creem magazine. His published works include Only the Good Die Young: The Rock 'n' Roll Book of the Dead and The Noise: Notes from a Rock 'n' Roll Era.

He was considered the third Best Rock Critic in a 1977 Creme Reader Poll, just behind Lester Bangs and Robert Christgau .

He wrote for Rolling Stone, Circus, Hit Parader, Life, and City and co-founded the advertising agency Duncan/Channon.

His family lived in Sheboygan, Wisconsin at the time of his birth. He later settled in San Francisco, California.

He interviewed the legendary musicians Ted Nugent, ZZ Top, and Bruce Springsteen .
