ABOUT RODRIGO LIMA

Striker who rose to fame playing in Portugal's Primeira Liga, including for Benfica between 2012-2015. He helped lead them to the Primeira Liga title in 2014 and 2015, as well as the Taça de Portugal and Liga titles in 2014.

He began his youth soccer career playing for the Brazilian club Mixto and the Portuguese club Vizela. He made his Portugal Primeira Liga debut in 2009 with C.F. Os Belenenses.

He helped lead Benfica to UEFA Europa League runner-up finishes in 2013 and 2014. He won the Bola de Prata for the Primeira Liga's top scorer in 2012.

He was born and raised in Monte Alegre, Brazil.

He and Andre Almeida played as teammates for Benfica.
