American actor and director who played the role of Theodore Calvin in the television series Magnum, P.I. He reprised his role for two episodes of the reboot TV series of the same name that began in 2018. He amassed 70 different acting credits throughout his long career.
He played one of his first roles in the television series Cannon in 1971.
He founded the Watts Repertory Company in 1974. He directed an episode of Magnum, P.I. from 1984.
He was married in 1960 but later divorced and began a relationship with Toni Laudermick in 1976 and had a child.
He co-starred with John Wayne in the 1974 film McQ.
