ABOUT ROMULUS ZACHARIAH LINNEY IV

American Playwright known for his works Can Can, Childe Byron, and The Sorrows of Frederick to name a few.

He earned a bachelors degree from Oberlin College and a masters degree from the Yale University School of Drama.

Shortly before his death, he was commissioned by The Metropolitan Opera to complete a libretto for an opera based on his first play, The Sorrows of Frederick.

At the time of his death he was married to Laura Callanan, who was a former chairwoman for National Endowment for the Arts.

He is most commonly associated with his daughter, Laura Linney .
