ABOUT RON DENNIS
Executive chairman of McLaren Automotive and McLaren Group. He was the team principal for McLaren Racing until 2009.
He worked with Jochen Rindt for Cooper Formula One in 1966 when he was 18.
He was named a Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in 2000.
He was married to Lisa Dennis for 22 years. They separated in 2007.
He was commended by Prime Minister David Cameron who formally opened the McLaren Production Centre in 2011.
