ABOUT RON JACKSON
First baseman who played for four MLB teams from 1975 to 1984. He compiled 56 home runs and 342 RBIs while hitting .259 across his career.
He made his MLB debut on September 12, 1975, for the California Angels.
Following his playing career he took up managing, and was the Boston Red Sox hitting coach from 2003 to 2006.
He was born in Birmingham, Alabama.
While he was the hitting coach for Boston, he won a 2004 World Series ring with manager Terry Francona .
