ABOUT RON MAEL
Songwriter and keyboardist with the pop duo Sparks, which was made up of him and his younger brother Russell.
He studied Cinema and Graphic Arts at the University of California, Los Angeles.
He helped Sparks earn a Gold-selling album with Kimono My House in 1974.
He and his brother had an affluent upbringing. Their father Meyer Mael was a graphic designer and caricaturist, while their mother Miriam was a librarian.
He guest-starred on an episode of Gilmore Girls with Lauren Graham in 2006.
