ABOUT RON ROY
An author of mystery books for children, he is best known for the A to Z Mysteries (1997-2013). From 2001-2013, he also wrote the popular Capital Mysteries.
His childhood teacher, Mr. Ben Hancock, instilled in him a profound love of books. Before publishing his first book in 1978, Roy was a fourth-grade teacher, himself.
He also wrote the Calendar Mysteries, geared for first- and second-grade readers.
He was born and raised in East Hartford, Connecticut. His birth name was Wallace Ronald Roy.
His works and those of fellow author, Judy Blume , were popular among younger readers.
