ABOUT RONA JAFFE
An American novelist, she is best known for her controversial work, Mazes and Monsters, which focuses on the catastrophic real-life consequences of immersion in fantasy role-playing games. Her other works include The Best of Everything, The Fame Game, and An American Love Story.
She worked as an editor for Fawcett Publications and later wrote culture pieces for Cosmopolitan magazine.
She published seventeen novels over the course of her career.
The only child of Samuel and Diana Jaffe, she grew up on Manhattan's Upper East Side. She was the granddaughter of millionaire Moses Ginsberg.
Camille Paglia noted that Jaffe's book, The Best of Everything, contained characters and themes similar to those found in the popular television series, Sex and the City.
