American music producer and funk, jazz, and soul musician known for his proficiency on the electric piano, organ, and synthesizer. He recorded numerous Blue Note Records albums during the 1970s.
He released his debut album, The Two Headed Freap, in 1972.
He became a cult figure among fans of the 1980s acid jazz genre.
He was raised in Buffalo, New York and New York City.
He often performed with singer and jazz guitarist George Benson .
