ABOUT RONNY MAURICIO

Professional shortstop that was first signed by the New York Mets as an international free agent in 2017. He was named one of the Mets top 100 MLB prospects in 2022.

He originally began his professional career playing for the GLC Mets rookie affiliate team. He was later sent to the Kingsport Mets.

He has hit over 50 home runs during his time in the minors. In 2022, he hit a career high 26 home runs.

Growing up, he lived with his family in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic.

Both he and Brandon Nimmo played for the New York Mets.
