Rosemary Casals
ABOUT ROSEMARY CASALS
International Tennis Hall of Famer who won more than ninety tournaments over the course of her two decade-long career. She is also known for her efforts to equalize the prize money awarded to male and female tennis players.
She was the top-ranked junior player in northern California by age sixteen.
She became the founder and President of Sportswomen, Inc. in 1981.
She and her sister were raised by their great-uncle and great-aunt, Manuel and Maria Casals.
She was a frequent doubles partner of Billie Jean King , with whom she won tournaments like Wimbledon in 1967.
