She worked in TV and theatre after graduating college and was writing for Marie Claire when she wrote her first novel, which was published in 2012.

She announced that her book The Man Who Didn't Call would be published in 2017 and would be the first one published under her own name.

She met her future husband, referred to only as The Man, while writing The Greatest Love Story of All Time, her first book.

She and Jojo Moyes are both popular British novelists.
