Celebrity chef who appeared as a regular on Ready Steady Cook for eight years and also appeared on The X Factor: Battle of the Stars with other UK chefs in 2006.
He taught himself how to cook and started his television career after reaching the final round of the BBC show MasterChef in 1993.
He published multiple books and has written columns for various magazines.
He grew up with his family in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand.
He filmed a healthy eating video with Joan Collins .
