Australian horse jockey who was one of the top jockeys in the 1960s and 70s, despite having trouble maintaining his weight.
He had trouble getting a fair chance as a jockey because he was considered very large at 5'6".
He won the Melbourne Cup twice riding Little Finger.
He retired in part to spend time with his family in 1983.
He could be considered the Australian equivalent of Angel Cordero Jr.
