Boxing Hall of Famer considered by many to be one of the greatest Bantamweight champions ever, 2-time World Bantamweight Champion.

His first professional fight was a first-round knockout of Freddy García at the age of 17.

He was voted as the #1 Bantamweight of the 20th century by the Associated Press in 1999.

His parents had 12 children, but only 6 survived.

He defeated Bobby Chacon to win the WBC World Featherweight title but lost to him via unanimous decision two years later.
