ABOUT RUDOLPH VAN VEEN
Famous for hosting numerous cooking programs on Fox International's 24Kitchen channel, this Dutch culinary expert also published several cookbooks, including Rudolph's Cupcakes and Lekker Snel (English translation: Tasty and Quick).
He attended culinary school in Breda, Netherlands, and subsequently won first prize in several Silver Toque cooking contests in his native country. He began co-hosting his first culinary television show, Life & Cooking, in 2000.
After training as a pastry chef, he presented a popular TV program called Rudolph's Bakery.
Though born in Belgium, he grew up in the Netherlands. He fathered two children: a daughter named Doris from his early marriage and a son named Ralph from a later long-term relationship.
He and his culinary contemporary, Irish chef Richard Corrigan , both worked at restaurants in the Netherlands.
