He was a fitness trainer in San Diego after leaving the Marines.

He had a book published titled "Hero Living: Seven Strides to Awaken Your Infinite Power".

He took custody of his two younger brothers at the age of 17 and taught them kung fu.

He appeared in HBO's Generation Kill with Stark Sands .
