Russell Hoban
ABOUT RUSSELL HOBAN
An American writer of fantasy, science fiction, and poetry, he is known for works such as Kleinzeit, Pilgermann, and The Medusa Frequency. He was a 1982 recipient of the Campbell Memorial Award.
He enlisted in the Army when he was eighteen years old and served in the Philippines and Italy as a radio operator during World War II.
He received the Whitbread Prize in 1974.
His three-decade marriage to Lillian Aberman produced four children. With his second wife, Gundula Ahl, he had three more children.
Glenda Jackson admired Hoban's literary work.
