ABOUT DR RUTH WESTHEIMER
The German-born sex therapist on the long-running radio show Sexually Speaking. She also hosted the children's puppet series Between the Lions. In 2013, a play was written about her life called Becoming Dr. Ruth.
She was a psychology professor at the University of Paris.
She became a cultural icon while changing views on sexuality on radio & TV. In 2019, the documentary Ask Dr. Ruth revolved around her life.
She has been married three times and her third marriage was to Manfred Westheimer. They had one children together, Joel. Her daughter, Miriam, was from her second marriage.
Her family was one of the many victims of Adolf Hitler 's Nazism.
