ABOUT RYAN GUSTO

MLB starting pitcher who was originally drafted by the Houston Astros as 11th round pick in 2019. He has also logged pitching appearances as a reliever during his major league career. Prior to being drafted, he played college baseball at Florida Southwestern State Junior College.

He first began his professional pitching career with the Gulf Coast League Astros. He was later promoted to the Tri-City ValleyCats.

He pitched two shutout innings with 1 strikeout during his official MLB debut. Unfortunately, he lost his debut to the San Francisco Giants by a score of 7-2.

He is a native of Santa Rosa, California.

He collected his first major league strikeout while facing Matt Chapman .
