Versatile player for the Ospreys from 2004 to 2010, one of very few Welsh players to have won three Grand Slams.
He was a goalkeeper for Bristol City until the age of 14.
He captained Wales a record 32 times, beating the previous record of 28.
He married his girlfriend Ailsa, a sports therapist, in July 2009.
He and fellow Welshman Gerald Davies both won three Grand Slam titles.
