ABOUT SAAD SAMIR
Centre back who has represented Egypt at high-profile tournaments like the 2012 Summer Olympics and 2017 Africa Cup of Nations. At the club level, he has competed for such Egyptian squads as Al Ahly SC, El Mokawloon and Al-Masry.
He played for El Ahly's youth organization before making his senior debut in 2009.
He was named to Egypt's preliminary squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
He has a brother named Mohamed.
He was teammates with star forward and midfielder Mohamed Aboutrika at the 2012 Olympics.
