ABOUT SAL BANDO
4-time MLB All-Star third baseman who won three consecutive World Series titles with the Oakland Athletics . He also played with the Milwaukee Brewers. He amassed more than 240 home runs throughout his professional career.
He starred for Arizona State University before beginning his professional baseball career.
He managed the Milwaukee Brewers after retiring. He passed away at the age of 78 after a battle with cancer.
His son Sal, Jr., led the High Point University baseball team as its head coach for eight years.
He was managed by legendary skipper Billy Martin in the early 1970s when he played with the Oakland Athletics.
