Sam Bunkall

ABOUT SAM BUNKALL

Known best for his role as Boyd Rolleston on the popular New Zealand soap opera Shortland Street, Bunkall was also featured in two 2013 episodes of Spartacus: War of the Damned.

After studying at New Zealand's Toi Whakaari theater school, he pursued a degree in drama at Victoria University.

When not on screen, he worked as an amateur drummer and guitarist.

A native of Wellington, New Zealand, he also spent portions of his childhood in Malaysia and the Netherlands. He dated theatre director Sophie Roberts.

He and Emily Robins both rose to fame for their roles on Shortland Street.
