ABOUT SAM CLAY

Professional pitcher that was drafted by the Minnesota Twins during the fourth round of the 2014 MLB Draft. He was signed by the Washington Nationals in November 2020.

He began his professional career playing for the Twins' rookie affiliate team the Elizabethton Twins.

He made his major league debut pitching against the Atlanta Braves on April 7, 2021 as member of the Nationals.

He in a native of Knoxville, Tennessee.

He played college baseball at Wake Forest University , just like Matt Wieters .
