ABOUT SAM COONROD

Professional pitcher that was drafted by the San Francisco Giants during the fifth round of the 2014 MLB Draft. He was acquired by the Philadelphia Phillies via trade in January 2021.

He began his professional debut playing for the Giants' rookie affiliate team the AZL Giants.

He made his major league debut pitching against the Arizona Diamondbacks on May 26, 2019 as a member of the Giants.

He lives with his wife, Kara.

He played alongside Jean Segura as a member of the Phillies during the 2021 MLB season.
