Former first baseman who played three seasons in the major leagues.
He grew up playing baseball in Denison, Texas.
He hit one career home run, in 1917 while playing for the Boston Braves.
His brother Tex Covington pitched three seasons with the Detroit Tigers.
Two years after he left the St. Louis Browns, Hall-of-Fame first baseman George Sisler joined the team.
