ABOUT SAM FARBER
Industrial designer and businessman responsible for the manufacturing of silverware and housewares. He introduced the idea of utensils with plastic-coated black handles through his company OXO.
Before OXO, he founded Copco, an enamel-coated, cast iron cookware manufacturer.
He sold OXO in 1992 to General Housewares Corporation.
He worked alongside his son John Farber as a co-founder of OXO.
He worked with Mario Batali and created a line of products just for him.
