Sam Joseph Martin
ABOUT SAM JOSEPH MARTIN
Professional placekicker and punter that was originally drafted by the Detroit Lions during the fifth round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He was later signed by the Buffalo Bills in August 2022. He has also played for the Denver Broncos during his professional career.
Prior to being drafted, he played college football at Appalachian State University for four seasons. Following his senior season, he was named a first-team All-American.
He made his official NFL debut playing against the Minnesota Vikings on September 8, 2013 as a member of the Lions. Following that season he was named to the 2013 PFWA All-Rookie Team.
Growing up, he lived with his family in Fayetteville, Georgia.
He was selected during the 2013 NFL Draft just like Dion Jordan .
