ABOUT SAM MERRILL

Shooting guard who gained acclaim playing for the Utah State University Aggies. He was the Mountain West Player of the Year as a senior in 2019. He was later acquired by the Milwaukee Bucks in November 2020. He was originally selected by the New Orleans Pelicans in the 2020 NBA Draft.

He was recruited by Stanford and Princeton to play college basketball. Before starting at Utah State, he went on a two-year mission for the Church of Latter Day Saints to Nicaragua.

He was twice named to the All-Mountain West first-team in 2019 and 2020. He was also an honorable mention All-American in 2019.

His older sister's name is Molli. His parents' names are John and Jenny.

He was drafted to play alongside Pat Connaughton for the Milwaukee Bucks.
