ABOUT SAM THAIDAY
Australian rugby player who joined the Brisbane Broncos in 2003. He also played on the Queensland, Australia, Prime Minister's XII, and Indigenous All-Stars teams. His rugby fame has led him to gain over 200,000 Instagram followers.
He debuted for the National Rugby League at the age of eighteen, playing against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
He made his professional boxing debut in 2013, defeating opponent Ben Tameifuna in a New Zealand match. He appeared on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here Australia in 2025.
He was born in Sydney, Australia to a family of Torres Strait Islander descent. His cousin, Milton Thaiday, also had a career as a professional rugby player.
At the end of the 2011 season, he replaced Darren Lockyer as captain of the Brisbane Broncos.
