Pakistani-American editor and publisher of Inspire, which was allegedly published for al-Qaeda. He was killed in a U.S. drone strike aimed at Anwar al-Awlaki .
He became a U.S. citizen, but was not sympathetic to the U.S. cause, believing that America was at fault for the Sept. 11, 2011, terrorist attacks. He refused to recite the Pledge of Allegiance.
He began a blog in 2003 while living with his parents called "InshallahShaheed" or Martyr, God Willing. He also wrote a manual called Expectations Full on how to be a successful suicide bomber.
His parents were living in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, when he was born, but they raised him in Queens, New York, and later moved with him to Westbury.
He was singled out by Senator Joe Lieberman as one of the individuals responsible for providing spiritual justification for carrying out terrorist acts.
