ABOUT SAMUEL NICHOLAS HUFF

Professional catcher that was drafted by the Texas Rangers during the seventh round of the 2016 MLB Draft. He was later selected to play in the 2019 All-Star Futures Game and was named MVP after hitting a two-run home run in the seventh inning.

He is a graduate of Arcadia High School in Phoenix, Arizona. Shortly after being drafted, he began his professional career playing for the AZL Rangers.

He made his official major league debut playing against the Oakland Athletics on September 11, 2020. He finished the game 0 for 2 with two strikeouts. Throughout the course of his career, he has appeared in over 50 games.

Growing up, he lived with his family in Phoenix, Arizona. His father, Steve, was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in 1976.

He played against Matt Olson and Marcus Semien during his MLB Debut.
