Sandra Prinsloo
ABOUT SANDRA PRINSLOO
Most famous for playing Kate Thomson in the 1980 comedy movie The Gods Must Be Crazy, this South African screen actress also appeared in the soap opera Egoli: Place of Gold and hosted a talk show called RaakPraat Met Sandra.
Her early film credits include roles in the 1970s movies Deadly Jaws and Target of an Assassin.
In the mid 1980s, she made headlines by kissing a black man on stage during an Apartheid-era South African stage production of the August Strindberg play Miss Julie.
A native of South Africa, she graduated from the University of Pretoria.
She and fellow South African-born entertainer Janet Suzman both had successful stage and screen acting careers.
