Actor and filmmaker who starred in, wrote, and directed the 2015 sci-fi feature film Skyquake. He is well-known for his portrayal of Jeb on the Netflix original romance drama series Virgin River . He has appeared in films like Rise of the Planet of the Apes , War for the Planet of the Apes , and Sonic the Hedgehog . He has also performed on television series such as Batwoman , Van Helsing , Riverdale , and Reginald the Vampire .

He was born in Ontario and grew up primarily in Toronto, Canada. He made his first on-screen appearance in the 2000 TV movie Common Ground, where he played the role of a Sailor.

He won a 2016 Feature Film Award for Best Actor from the Boston Science Fiction Film Festival for his performance in the film Skyquake, which he also directed.

He married a woman named Nicole Robson.

He appeared on Virgin River opposite Alexandra Breckenridge , Martin Henderson , and Colin Lawrence .
