She made her on-screen debut in 1977 as Maggie in the short film The Fighting Men.
In 2016, she starred as Lady Covington in the YTV/Nickelodeon series Ride. She won a Gemini Award for best performance by an actress in a continuing leading dramatic role for her work on E.N.G.
She has three children named Jonathan, Gideon, and Quinn. She had previously been married to Canadian actor Alan Scarfe .
She starred in Anne of Green Gables in 2016 alongside veteran movie actor Martin Sheen .
