Scott Tolzien

ABOUT SCOTT TOLZIEN

Quarterback who made his NFL debut in 2011 for the San Francisco 49ers, and made his first start in 2013 for the Green Bay Packers.

He had an illustrious career at the University of Wisconsin, including winning the 2010 Johnny Unitas Award, but he went undrafted in the 2011 NFL Draft.

After going undrafted he signed with the San Diego Chargers; after a preseason game against the 49ers, the Chargers cut him, and the 49ers promptly signed him.

He was born in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.

He got his first starting opportunity in 2013 after an injury to Packers' quarterback Aaron Rodgers .
