Former pitcher that played for the Chicago Cubs , Miami Marlins , New York Yankees and the Milwaukee Brewers during his eight-year career. In January 2022, he was convicted for murder in Mexico.

He was drafted by the Cubs during the seventh round of the 2001 MLB Draft.

He made his major league debut pitching for the Cubs on July 22, 2003.

He was raised in both California and Mexico.
