Seth William Johnson
ABOUT SETH WILLIAM JOHNSON
Professional pitcher that was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays during the second round of the 2019 Major League Draft. He was later traded to the Baltimore Orioles in August 2022. Prior to being drafted, he played college baseball at Campbell University.
He is a graduate of Jay M. Robinson High School in Concord, North Carolina. While there, he played shortstop and pitched.
He recorded a professional career high 115 strikeouts during the 2021 minor league season. He recorded a 2.88 earned average in just over 93 innings pitched. Upon transferring to Campbell University, he focused solely on pitching, and not on playing shortstop.
He grew up living with his family in the Concord, North Carolina area. He is the youngest of two brothers.
