ABOUT SEYMOUR STEIN

American entrepreneur and music executive who was best known for co-founding Sire Records and was vice president of Warner Bros. Records. With Sire, he signed bands such as Talking Heads, Ramones , and The Pretenders.

At the age of 13, he worked as a clerk at the music industry magazine Billboard.

In 2005, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 2018, he published his autobiography, Siren Song: My Life in Music.

He was married to Linda S. Stein from 1945 to the late 1970s. They have two daughters, Samantha and Mandy Stein. His eldest daughter Samantha died in 2013.

He also discovered and signed Madonna .
