Singer who took the African music scene by storm with her hit single “Sugua Gaga (Chakacha)" in 2014. The song and its video helped popularize the traditional style of dance known as chakacha.
She was an art student in Washington, D.C. She got her start in the music business as a member of the band Wakilisha in the early 2000's.
The title of her first album, Zamu Yangu, translates to "It's My Turn." The name was inspired by the fact that she produced the album herself.
Her real name is Sarah Kaisi. She has three siblings.
