ABOUT SHAKIRA BARRERA
Season two addition to the cast of Netflix's GLOW who portrayed the character of Yolanda. She previously appeared as Vashti Nadira in Faking It and was featured in a show called Freak Out. She has a production company called, Mi Nene Productions.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Rutgers University .
Upon moving to Los Angeles in 2013, she became a bilingual actress. She is of Nicaraguan descent.
She was born in Engelwood, New Jersey.
She danced alongside Wisin at the Latin Grammy Awards in 2016.
