ABOUT SHAMAR JOSEPH
Left-handed bowler, gameplayer, and athlete that originally began his professional cricketing career with the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the year 2023. Just one year later, he signed a contract to play for the organization known as Peshawar Zalmi.
Prior to his cricketing career, he worked as a logger. He also worked in construction and as a security guard.
While playing for Team Guyana, he helped his team win the 2023 West Indies Championship. By doing so, he helped Guyana capture their 12th West Indies Championship title. He has also played for the West Indies men's national team during his professional career.
Growing up, he lived with his family in Guyana. He is one of eight siblings.
He credits Courtney Walsh as being one of biggest cricketing influences while coming up.
