ABOUT SHANE MATTHEWS

Former NFL quarterback who played with numerous NFL teams including the Chicago Bears and Buffalo Bills. He was a star a the University of Florida, where he was named SEC Player of the Year in 1990 and 1991.

He was Mississippi Player of the Year while attending Pascagoula High School.

He became a radio show host in Gainesville, Florida following his NFL career. He also became the quarterbacks coach at Gainesville High School.

His father was an English teacher while his mother was an English teacher.

He played under head coach Steve Spurrier at the University of Florida.
