Often referred to as Nikki, she is a popular reality television personality known primarily for her appearances during the first season of the 2022 Netflix series The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On . She is the founder of Syn's closet, which is a women's lingerie and swimwear brand based in Texas. Due to her popularity, she has accumulated over 260,000 followers on her shaniqueimari Instagram account.

She graduated from the HBCU Texas Southern University in 2018. She received her bachelor's degree in the field of finance.

At the start of The Ultimatum, she was one of only six couples to make an appearance on the show's first season. However, of the six original couples, her and boyfriend were only 1 of 4 couples to remain together after the season's ended.

Her and her longtime boyfriend, Randall Griffin , were engaged in April 2022. The couple is based in Austin, Texas. She has Jamaican heritage.
