Malaysian singer-songwriter, journalist, and playwright known for his 2005 album, Dilanda Cinta.
He studied chemical engineering and later received a degree in religion in contemporary society.
His award-winning 2008 play, "Air Con," dealt with issues of race, religion, and sexuality.
His family lived in the Malaysian Kedah capital of Alor Setar at the time of his birth.
He was influenced by the work of singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen .
