ABOUT SHARYN NILSEN

Widely known as the founder of the budget travel blog Catch Our Travel Bug. Alongside her husband Tim, she has chronicled her adult life of traveling there, while also sharing tips to doing so in unique locations and on a budget.

She earned her bachelor's degree in chemistry and microbiology from South Australian Institute of Business and Technology in 1986. She subsequently earned her master's degree in quality management in 1995.

She served as an English language instructor in Vietnam from 2011 to 2015.

She and her husband Tim have been traveling together on and off since the mid-1990s.

She and Matthew Kepnes are both known for their travel blogging posted independently online.
